This is an easy photoshop tutorial for web designers to learn new techniques and design vortex effects. [1] Create a new file of 500 pixels by 500 pixels, 72 dpi resolution and RGB mode. [2] Create a new layer and fill it in with black color. [3] Go to Filter - Render - Clouds. [4] Go to Filter - Pixelate - Mezzotint and apply the settings on screen. [5] Go to Filer - Blur - Radial Blur and apply the settings on screen. [6] Make a copy of Layer 1. [7] On the duplicate layer go to Filter - Distort - Twirl and apply the settings on screen. [8] Change the Blending mode of Layer 1 Copy to "Lighten". [9] Ctrl + E or Cmd + E to merge the 2 layers. [10] Lets add some color: Click Image Adjustments - Hue/Saturation and apply the settings on screen or choose your own. [11] Make a copy of layer 1 and change the blending mode option to "Overlay".
