JS Generation vs Flex Compilation

Video demonstrates high-speed code generation from ActionScript to JavaScript in RASE. First of all, I open an AS3-class and build it with an usual Flex compiler (turn attention to Build Configuration settings - you'll see "Flex Application" there). We see a trivial sight, waiting until it's done. After that, I open the same AS3-class in a module with "HTML5 App" output type setting in Build Configuration. In this case the Flex compiler will not be used, replaced with JavaScript generator - that means that the ActionScript AST (abstract syntactic tree) is transformed to JavaScript AST and then converted to text. I also expanded the task for generator by adding a couple of language extensions (the generation is a multistep process). JavaScript code is generated almost instantly. Even the dialog box with a progress bar is almost invisible (it appears only for a small moment at 0:40 ). Incredible! To prove that generator really works, I add a window.alert to code. Then I repeat JS generation and find out that there are relevant changes in output JS file. Realaxy Editor 1.1 with JavaScript generation will be released this Christmas. The demonstration of working prototype will take place on Flash GAMM conference on December, 10-11 in Kiev, Ukraine.
